The first T20I between Pakistan and Australia is underway at the Gabba in Brisbane. In a rain-reduced match, the visitors won the toss and asked Australia to bat first.
The decision turned out to be a masterstroke as Pakistan got rid of both openers in the first three overs. However, Australia were unfazed by the wickets, as the match had been reduced to seven overs, and the batters were just looking to hit across the fence.
Glenn Maxwell Steals The Show At Gabba
Talking about the match, JFM started positively, as he hit Shaheen Afridi for two fours but then threw his wicket away to Naseen Shah. However, Glenn Maxwell stole the limelight after he whacked Naseem all over the ground.
Notably, Maxwell came to bat when Australia were 16/1 after one over. Maxwell started the innings with a four. He hogged the internet on the fourth ball of the 2nd over, when he hit a switch hit over the keeper's head for a boundary. It was a free hit that allowed Maxwell to lose his arms.

Further, Maxwell followed it with two more fours. Eventually, Maxwell collected 16 runs off that over, including four fours. It was not the end of Maxwell's tryst with switch-hit as he also whacked Shaheen Afridi for a big six on the 3rd ball of the 4th over.
At the time of writing this article, Australia have 93 runs on the board after seven overs. Further, Maxwell was the pick of the batters as he scored 43 (19), which featured five fours and three sixes. He was on course of a fifty but Abbas Afridi bowled a perfect bouncer that got rid of former RCB batter.
