The Indian Premier League (IP) 2025 has reached its business end with the league stage coming to an end. Interestingly, the four teams to have qualified for the IPL playoffs has already been decided, with GT, PBKS, RCB and MI reaching the top-4 with quite a few league matches still left.

Why no Hazlewood and Muzarabani Vs SRH?

On Friday, the Rajat Patidar led RCB will face the already eliminated Sunrisers Hyderabad and RCB have a solid chance of finishing in top-2, if they win the next match. However, the side will miss their key bowling star, Josh Hazlewood, who is suffering from a shoulder injury and will re-join the squad on Sunday.

Also, Blessing Muzarabani, the newest signing is currently playing a Test match for Zimbabwe Vs England and will join the squad once the game gets over. Hence, without Hazlewood and Muzarabani, who will partner Bhuvneshwar Kumar Vs SRH?.

Who will partner Bhuvneshwar Kumar?

Proteas pacer to lead the attack?

RCB do have Lungi Ngidi, but he will only remain with the side before the playoff begins. Hence, the tall pacer will be available Vs SRH and is most likely going to start alongside Bhuvneshwar.

He has played just a solitary game in IPL 2025 and had a stellar match, picking up 3 wickets for 30 runs and was the leader of the bowling attack. Against an SRH batting side which struggles against sheer pace and bounce, RCB are most likely going to unleash Ngidi in the next IPL match.

X-factor to play?

If RCB decide not to play Ngidi, they do have Nuwan Thushara warming the bench. The Sri Lankan pacer has had an excellent career so far, picking up 26 wickets in 18 matches for Sri Lanka.

Thushara is yet to debut for RCB and could be a surprise X-factor to trouble the SRH batters. He is also a brilliant death overs specialist, something RCB is missing in the absence of Hazlewood.
