After a very close victory against the Mumbai Indians (MI), Krunal Pandya who is the stand-in skipper for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the absence of KL Rahul, is quite pleased with how the side performed to seal the victory by 5 runs in the final over courtesy of Mohsin Khan. Krunal was all praise for the pacer for bowling so well after coming off a long injury layoff.

Coming to the game, 177 is what LSG posted after the power show from Marcus Stoinis boosted their score with as many as eight sixes coming from his bat. In reply, LSG restricted MI to just 172 which helped them earn two crucial points and hence, strengthen their case for playoffs.

Krunal who scored 49 runs in the game and walked out after getting retired hurt revealed that he was getting cramps but his will to play for the team brought them success.

"I was having cramps and I felt like I pulled my muscle. I have always been a team player and really really happy with the result as well,"

Furthermore, he talked about Mohsin and said that he has a huge heart which is why the left-armer has been to make a comeback and perform in such a high-pressure situation.

"Mohsin is someone who has a really really big heart and when you have a big heart in this sport, you go long way and that is what Mohsin is all about. Really really happy for him. He has not played any cricket for last one year. He went through a very serious surgery. And then to straightaway play the IPL at such a high pressure situation. That shows how strong mentally he is,"

In the end, the all-rounder thanked their fans for coming out in numbers and supporting their team.

"It has not been easy for us though we have played some good cricket but yeah. Really happy to end on a good note here. Fans have always come out and supported us here. Good to give them a win finally at the last game of the tournament."

LSG would next go on to face Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on 20th May at Eden Gardens.
