After a humiliating defeat against the visiting England side, Pakistan's skipper Babar Azam opened up on where his side lacked. The right-hander who couldn't do much against the rampaging 'Bazball' surrendered after conceding a clean sweep that too at their home.
Azam spoke about the pitches they got for the series mentioning that both the sides played on the same wicket. Further, he claimed that they could only advise on the type of pitch they expect, which was answered in the context of pitches being too flat in Pakistan.
The captain also asserted that lack of partnerships is the main reason why they couldn't post a big total which resulted in them lacking behind.
"The pitch was same for both teams. We can only give our opinion about what kind of wicket we want. We have dominated as well in this series, especially in Multan where Abrar got the better of English batters,
"We have gotten the advantage but according to me, we have lacked in our batting. We have done well in patches but everytime we are about to build a partnership, we lose a wicket. That is how we got pressure back on us."
Pakistan after this eye-opening loss will next welcome New Zealand for a two-match Test series beginning on the 26th of December.
