South African speedster Kagiso Rabada issued a stern warning to Australians ahead of the Boxing Day Test, stating the Proteas never go down without a fight and they will bounce back stronger at MCG.

Australia trounced South Africa by six wickets in the opening Test at the Gabba, Brisbane. The Test match ended in just two days as the pitch proved to be a graveyard for the batters.

The hosts lost a total of four wickets during the fourth inning chase of 34 runs for victory. The likes of Usman Khawaja, David Warner, Steve Smith, and Travis Head fell prey to the South African spearhead Kagiso Rabada.

The right-arm quick, who finished with the figure of 4-13 in the second innings off four overs, conceded that he wanted to add more misery on Australia’s batters, and he will continue doing so in the second Test at MCG.

Here's what Rabada said:

"The one thing we possess as South Africans … is that we will never go down without a fight. Although Australia needed 34 runs [and we were] getting a whole lot of stick from the crowd, we have come out here to play. It doesn’t matter what the situation is. We’ll always go down fighting."

The Gabba pitch has faced stern criticism after the opening Test between Australia and South Africa ended in just two days. Bowlers were always up in the game, thanks to sideways movement and steep bounce. A total of 34 wickets fell in just two days.

Regarding the playing conditions, Rabada said,

"It looked quite bad out there for the batters. The balls were absolutely doing heaps. As a bowler you always want something on the wicket, most definitely, but that’s out of our control. Let’s see what we’re dealt [in Melbourne]. We have to embrace whatever we’re given."
