PAK vs ENG: England script history, whitewash Pakistan in their backyard

When Ben Duckett and Ben Stokes returned to the dugout after stumps on day three, we knew it was a matter of time for England to emerge victorious in the final Test against Pakistan in Karachi.

And as expected, the Three Lions hammered Pakistan yet again, handing them a crushing eight-wicket defeat in the very first session of the fourth day. More importantly, this is a historic victory, as Pakistan have been whitewashed for the very first time in their own country.

At the start of the day, England needed a mere 55 runs to win this face-off. There was only one result possible and the visitors ensured they finished things quickly as soon as the game resumed.

The dynamic duo of Duckett and Stokes smashed the Pakistani bowlers all around the park, like they had done throughout the series. Despite being on the cusp of a win, they didn't shy away from implementing their aggressive batting, which has reaped rich rewards for them in the recent past.

Pakistan tried to challenge the duo with their young sensation Abrar Ahmed, but they took him on, neutralising him to perfection. There were sweeps, reverse sweeps, heaves in all directions, that only killed Pakistan's chances, if there was any, in quick time.

The seamer Mohammad Wasim Jr was also ineffective, as he leaked runs at a miserable economy rate.

The English dressing room started jubilant celebrations as soon as Ben Duckett hit the winning runs. While the opener contributed 82*, skipper Stokes smashed three fours for his quick-fire 43-ball 35*.

On the other hand, Pakistan returned to the dugout empty-handed for the third consecutive time in the series. They have a lot to ponder, as we expect significant changes to their management as well as leadership group.
