In an unfortunate turn of events, fast bowler Navdeep Saini has been ruled out of the second Test against Bangladesh due to an abdominal muscle strain. Saini will now report to the NCA for further management of his injury.

This is another blow to India, who are already missing several key players due to various injuries.

While veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is yet to recover from his knee injury, ace pacer Mohammed Shami is rehabilitating from a shoulder injury that sidelined him from the Bangladesh series.

Besides these two players, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has also been excluded from the team due to a thumb injury. He hurt his thumb while attempting for a catch in the second ODI against the Tigers earlier this month.
