Flying straight from Karachi following the conclusion of National T20 Cup 2023, young Pakistan speedster Zaman Khan made instant impact for Sydney Thunder on his Big Bash League (BBL) debut. Turning up for his side in their opening game of the tournament against Brisbane Heat, the 22-year-old bowling prodigy picked up key wickets in the death overs, including that of dangerman Sam Billings.
Khan eventually concluded his spell at 2-31 off his four overs, thus restricting the Brisbane Heat to just 151 in their innings upfront.

Tasked to bowl the final over of the Brisbane Heat innings by Sydney Thunder captain Chris Green, Zaman Khan castled England batsman and ex-CSK star Sam Billings with a pinpoint yorker to claim his maiden BBL wicket.
Prior to the time of his dismissal, Billings was already well-set at the crease all while threatening to score some quick runs in the death overs.

Zaman Khan also cleaned up tailender Michael Neser a couple of deliveries later in the same over, all while conceding just six runs off the bat from the final six balls of the innings to restrict Heat to 151-7, before the team handed the Thunder a 20-run defeat.
Khan recently turned up for Rawalpindi at the Pakistan National T20 Cup 2023 back home before eventually taking flight for Australia for the 2023-24 BBL season.
The 22-year-old rising star made his international debut earlier this year through a T20I against Afghanistan in Sharjah. The cricketer has so far represented his country in six T20Is and an ODI match since then.
