The much-awaited Duleep Trophy is currently underway with India A taking on India B at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The intense clash has already begun on a high note as the Shubman Gill-led side made another crucial breakthrough, this time dismissing the formidable left-handed southpaw Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Khaleel Ahmed's cunning move of changing the length and inviting Jaiswal to play a big shot, did wonders as the opener was forced to walk back after scoring his 30 runs off 59 balls. During his time at the crease, he slammed six boundaries.

On the very first ball of the 22nd over, Khaleel unleashed a short and wide outside off delivery. Jaiswal hopped in the crease with the hopes to do cut. He targeted the point region but failed to show some control on the stroke.

The red cherry travelled straight in the air and went into the hands of the substitute fielder Shashwat Rawat at backward point. His excellent catch sealed the deal and with this Jaiswal had to crawl back to the dugout.

India A take the driver's seat in the game

Meanwhile, talking about the clash, Shubman Gill led India A won the toss and opted to bowl first. The batting-side started strong however, the first wicket fell and it was India B's skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran who was forced to walk back. Avesh Khan's fiery delivery provided his team with the first breakthrough.

At the time of writing,  India B are at 65/2 with brothers Musheer Khan and Sarfaraz Khan out in the middle.
