It's the answer to his 'I am unemployed' query that cricket enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for. In the latest development from the cricketing world, ex-India coach Rahul Dravid is all set to be seen in a new avatar. 

The anticipation is high as he is soon to be announced as the new coach for Sanju Samson's Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Dravid's journey in the IPL has been nothing short of remarkable. He started as the captain of the Rajasthan-based franchise for two seasons, 2012 and 2013. His leadership skills were further recognized when he served as the team director and mentor in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. 

In 2016, he took on a new challenge with the Delhi Daredevils, and his coaching career reached new heights when he became the head coach of the India men's team in 2021.

Vikram Rathour Likely To Be RR's Assistant Coach

It has been understood that the Royals are also likely to sign former India batter Vikram Rathour as one of Dravid's assistant coaches. The two stalwarts of the 2024 T20 World Cup are set to reunite yet again. 

Sangakkara To Continue As Director Of Cricket

Meanwhile it has also come to light as per ESPNCricinfo, Kumar Sangakkara, who has been their director of cricket since 2021, will continue with their franchise and look after their teams in other leagues - Paarl Royals in the SA20 and Barbados Royals in the CPL.
