Well, what a night it was at Chepauk! a night full of action, most from the bowlers. CSK's Noor Ahmad weaved magic while MI's young talent Vignesh Puthur also showed his talent to the world with his dream debut spell!

As MI booked their first loss, there were heartbreaks in the MI camp. However, there was one person who was seen engaging with Thala, and the reaction of the former, let's just say was a bit contrasting!

What's Cooking Between Dhoni And Akash Ambani?

MI's co-owner Nita Mukesh Ambani's son Akash Ambani was seen standing beside MS Dhoni who was watching the game as it was nearing the end. Dhoni was seen smiling and chatting with Akash Ambani and greeting each other before the camera panned out to the ground.

While MI was bashed left right and centre, Akash Ambani was unusually smiling with Thala. Though it must be said that MI also put up a good fight in the game!

MI Unable To Breach Chepauk Fort!

Opting to bowl first, CSK struck early as Khaleel Ahmed dismissed Rohit Sharma for a duck in the opening over and finished with 3/29. Debutant Noor Ahmad was sensational, dismantling MI's middle order with 4/18.

Despite MI’s struggles, Deepak Chahar’s late cameo (28* off 15) and a crucial 51-run partnership between Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma helped them post 155/9.

In response, CSK’s chase started on a shaky note as impact player Rahul Tripathi fell early to former CSK bowler Chahar. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra steadied the innings with a 67-run stand.

Gaikwad smashed a quick 50 off 22 balls while Ravindra anchored the chase, finishing unbeaten on 65 off 45 balls. As stated earlier, T20 debutant Vignesh Puthur caused some trouble, taking 3/32 and slowing CSK’s momentum, but Rachin and Ravindra Jadeja’s 36-run partnership ensured CSK crossed the finish line with Dhoni at the other end.
