Riding on a sensational spell from Mohammed Siraj, India ran through the South African batting lineup on day 1 of Cape Town Test, reducing the hosts to 34 for six inside the first session. Opening the bowling alongside ace speedster Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj got claimed five wickets for only nine runs, rattling the Proteas batting lineup in the blink of an eye. 

After dismissing Aiden Markram, Dean Elgar, Tony de Zorzi and David Bedingham, Siraj got rid of Marco Jansen with a beauty to complete a clinical five-wicket haul. However, what grabbed the attention of the fans was a priceless advice from Virat Kohli that helped the Indian pacer remove Jansen. 

As soon as Jansen entered the middle, Kohli, stationed in the slips, asked Siraj to bowl an out-swinger around the fourth stump channel, as Jansen generally remains tentative while starting his innings. The bowler did exactly that and got the Proteas all-rounder caught behind the stumps by none other than KL Rahul. 

After Jansen's dismissal, veteran spinner Keshav Maharaj joined the middle to bat alongside Kyle Verrynne. However, Siraj got rid of Verrynne, leaving South Africa in tatters. 

As of writing, South Africa are 45 for seven, with Maharaj and Rabada unbeaten in the middle.
