Riding on a valiant fifty from Aamer Jamal, Pakistan have posted a respectable total in their first innings of the ongoing Sydney Test against Australia.

Known for his bowling attributes, Jamal played several delightful shots for his breezy knock that bailed Pakistan out of trouble. He smashed nine fours and four sixes, his outrageous reverse-sweep against ace Aussie spinner Nathan Lyon stole the limelight.

The incident occurred in the 76th over when Jamal and Mir Hamza were battling it out for the visitors in the middle. After bowling two dot balls, Lyon tried to trap Jamal plumb in front as he bowled a good length delivery around the middle stump.

However, Jamal decided to use his aggression to counter the delivery, reverse-sweeping it straight into the stands for a humongous six. He followed it up with a glorious boundary, with Lyon conceding 11 runs off his 17th over.

However, the veteran spinner eventually took his revenge, dismissing Jamal on the first ball of the 78th over. Thus, Pakistan were bowled out for a decent 313-run total in their first innings. Skipper Pat Cummins was the wrecker-in-chief for Australia with the ball, recording a sensational fifer for 61 runs.
