Rajat Patidar has been in poor form since he made his Test debut for India against England and could not make an impact in the first few games of IPL 2024 as well. However, the man has roared back in form against MI at Wankhede and smacked fifty off just 25 balls, before falling in a bid to hit another big one.

He hit four sixes and three fours in his knock and one of those sixes was against Hardik Pandya. It was the fifth ball of the 10th over and Pandya bowled a length delivery on off. Patidar stayed still in his crease and launched it way over long on, bringing out an expression of applause from Virat Kohli.

However, Patidar departed in the 12th over and soon Maxwell also followed his younger teammate as RCB were reduced to 108-4 in the 13th over. 

Earlier, Virat Kohli departed early and Will Jacks who replaced Cameron Green, also failed to make an impact after hitting two boundaries. Bumrah was exceptional with the ball again, and overall, MI will be pretty happy with their bowling effort on a flat batting deck at Wankhede.
