Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are two of the most highly-rated teams in IPL and the battle between the two teams has always caught the imagination of cricket fans around the world.

Over the years, there have been intense battles between the two teams, and let's revisit three of those fights as the action unfolds in the 2024 season.

Mitchell Starc Vs Kieron Pollard

One of the fiercest battles in the history of the IPL was the fight between Mitchell Starc and Kieron Pollard in IPL 2024. It was a high-octane encounter between Mumbai Indians and RCB and in the first innings of the match when MI were batting, an ugly incident created a lot of buzz around the cricketing world.

Kieron Pollard and Rohit Sharma were batting in the 17th over and Starc was charging in with great intensity. In the same over, Pollard backed out when Starc was just getting ready to bowl the delivery and that disturbed the Aussie as he deliberately directed it towards Kieron Pollard.

The Caribbean legend in reply threw his bat towards Starc and luckily, the bat stuck in his hand which avoided what could have been a brutal ugly incident. The two had some intense chat after that Pollard threw his bat and till date it remains one of the most heated fight in IPL history.

Virat Kohli vs Suryakumar Yadav

Another famous fight in the RCB-MI clash was the one between Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. SKY was yet to make his debut for India at that time and surely had a bit of anger in him about his non-selection in the Indian team which happened just before that game.

The altercation between the two Indian stars happened in MI's run-chase when Suryakumar Yadav pushed a Dale Steyn delivery to Virat Kohli at covers. Kohli picked the ball, and walked all the way towards SKY while maintaining an eye contact. The two did not utter a word but the cold stare stealed the limelight and that made the MI batter even more determined as he batted well till the end and took Mumbai Indians over the line.

The third fight that is one of the notable one is between Virat Kohli and Kieron Pollard. It was the continuation of the fight between Pollard and Starc and Virat Kohli who was RCB's captain at that time, tried to cool down Pollard during the break between the overs.

However, Pollard did not listen to Kohli at that time and was even seen holding Kohli's neck aggressively which clearly did not go well with RCB skipper at that time. It was quite an intense game overall, and when two power-packed teams go head-to-head, the on-field tussle can never be ruled out.
