Sanju Samson has been in stellar form in IPL 2024 and has notched up three fifties in five matches so far. However, his third fifty of the season against Gujarat Titans went in vain as Shubman Gill and co. registered a thrilling last-ball win.

The skipper Sanju Samson naturally was in shock after the loss, and to make matter worse, Sanju Samson has been fined 12 Lakhs for slow over-rate during second innings of the game. It was his first offence in IPL 2024 and so, under the IPL's Code of Conduct he has been fined this time around.

Talking about the match, it was quite a roller-coaster ride. Rajasthan Royals batted first and scored 196 with Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson leading the charge. In reply, GT's chase never got going, though Gill played a decent knock of 72 off 44 balls. 

However, they still needed 59 runs in the last four overs, and GT still managed to cross the line on the final delivery with Rashid Khan hitting a boundary. RR have still won four out of their five games and would be looking to get back to winning ways on 13th of April against Punjab Kings.
