Sundar Reveals Gambhir's Help After Struggle Against SL Spinners, 'We've Always Seen Him...'

Washington Sundar has been brilliant with the ball in the ODI series, but with the bat, he has struggled along with most of the Indian batters which is the reason why India will need to win the final game of the three-match series after losing the second one.

Now, ahead of the game, Washington has revealed that the new head coach Gautam Gambhir is giving lot of inputs on how to tackle spinners as he was a great player against tweakers during his playing days. He also added that they kept their practice ahead of the game focussed on little tactical changes and added that they are prepared to deliver in the final match.


'There's been a lot of inputs from [Gambhir]. He's a high-quality player of spin. We've always seen him putting up great performances on such wickets, especially against quality spin-bowling. That's one of the reasons we came out here today to practice, to try and find a way do those little things tactically. We are really prepared to be on top of the game in all aspects tomorrow.'

Sundar, the bowler has stepped up

The all-rounder has taken five wickets so far in two matches, and his contribution would be crucial for India on Wednesday at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
