Virat Kohli made a return to the Indian side alongside captain Rohit Sharma for their third ODI match against Australia in Rajkot. The two cricketers made headlines prior to the launch of the game itself, as they have been listed as Team India openers in a bid to occupy some much-needed time at the crease in light of the upcoming 2023 World Cup.

While Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first on a flat Rajkot surface, Kohli still found a way to entertain fans on the field, all while seemingly having fun with visitors’ number four batsman Marnus Labuschagne.

During the drinks break from the Australian innings, the senior Indian cricketer was seen teasing Labuschagne with one of his hilarious dance numbers. The incident occurred mere moments following Steve Smith’s dismissal.

In the meantime, the Australians batters are motoring towards a colossal total upfront in a bid to avoid a series whitewash in India.

Earlier in the innings, David Warner compiled 56 to register his third successive half-century this series, while stand-in opener Mitchell Marsh listed 96 elegant runs at the top. Steve Smith at number three also scored 74 at better than a run-a-ball as Australia aim to conclude their pre-World Cup 2023 assignments on a high note.
