Virat Kohli is the legend of the game and he has proved that again in the World Cup 2023 by slamming 756 runs in the 11 innings. However, Indian needed more from him in the final of the World Cup against Australia, but he departed after an assured 54 off 63 balls, with India under pressure at 148-4.
Pat Cummins was the one who got the big wicket of Kohli after he got the better of Shreyas Iyer as well. India started with a bang as Rohit displayed his ultra-aggressive approach yet again with a belligerent 47 off 31 balls. His wicket though changed the momentum and it was the pair of Kohli and Rahul that brought some respite for India, after the wicket of Shreyas Iyer.

The wicket of Kohli though pegged India back again, as Cummins with his accuracy and clever change of length and pace, outfoxed Kohli. It was the 29th over and Cummins bowled short of a length delivery, on off. Kohli tried to dab it towards the off side but ended up getting an inside edge on the ball hat rose up bit sharply and the ball went onto knock over the stumps.
It has brought Australia ahead in the game, and at the time of writing, India have the pair of KL Rahul and Jadeja at the crease, who would be looking to stabilise the innings and take it as deep as possible.
