The Indian Under 19 team is playing against Bangladesh Under 19 in the final of the Asia Cup 2024 at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE. The defending champions have presented a tough challenge to India after bowling first in the game.

Bangladesh batted first in the match and scored 198 before being bundled in the last over of their innings. Rizan Hossan was the star of the batter for Bangladesh as he played a stable knock of 47 runs from 65 deliveries. In fact, it was the partnership between James and Hossan that got them to a competitive total.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi Failed To Provide India With A Solid Start

With 198 runs to be chased down, the Indian team were hoping for a good start from their openers to chase down the target easily. However, neither Ayush Mhatre nor Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave them the start that they needed. While Mhatre departed for a single, the youngest player of IPL 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi departed for just 9 runs off seven deliveries. 

The left handed Indian opener hit a couple of boundaries before walking back to the pavilion. The bowler Maruf Mridha was seen celebrating excitedly on getting the wicket of Suryvanshi. He brought out the trademark celebration of the Uruguayan legendary footballer, Edinson Cavani. The celebration caught the eyes of the viewers and fans as it brought out the emotion of the Bangladesh players and the importance of this game for them.
