Since the Asian rivals have recently engaged in some heated verbal exchanges, you can always expect a dramatic event to occur during a match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Similarly, on Saturday (March 9), during Bangladesh’s third and final T20I of the series, an incident happened that became the talk of the town on social media within a minute.

It all happened when Nuwan Thushara, in the middle of taking a hat trick, cleaned up Towhid Hridoy with an absolutely peach of a delivery. After that, while walking off the field, some Sri Lankan players taunted Hridoy after he was dismissed for a golden duck.

Hridoy did not like what they did, as it was an unplayable delivery for any batter. The on-field umpires stopped him, as he was about to give them a furious response. Even some of the Sri Lankan players came to Hridoy to calm things down, as things looked really ugly in the middle of the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by 29 runs to win the three-match series with a 2-1 scoreline. Thushara, who has been signed by Mumbai Indians for IPL 2024, was named the Player of the Match, having returned superb figures of 4-1-20-5.
