Ruben Trumpelmann is having a fine T20 World Cup 2024 tournament. The left-arm seamer shined against Oman in their tournament opener, and once again proved his mettle against a strong Scottish batting lineup.

In a tricky run-chase of 156, Scotland looked slow and sluggish, and lost a couple of early wickets which derailed their chase. However, the partnership between Richie Berrington and Michael Leask, brought the European side back in the contest.

The duo seemed in ease against Namibian bowlers, and they seemingly targeted their best bet - Ruben Trumpelmann.

In the 18th over, with the chase still in the balance, Leask struck a towering six against Trumpelmann, and he looked to have won the battle against the left-armer, but the bowler took his revenge and had the last laugh.

In the 5th delivery of the same over, Trumpelmann's slower ball does the trick as Leask fails to clear the field and found the fielder at long-on. Leask, who already had hit a massive six went for the big shot once again, and eventually perished at the hands of the Namibian pacer.

However, that didn't have much of an effect as Scotland eventually crossed the winning line, with 5-wickets in hands. Berrington remained unbeaten at 47 off 35 balls.
