[Watch] Dream Start For Scotland, Namibia's 'Key' Player Dismissed For Duck

Namibia had a horrendous start against Scotland in their ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 match. After a below-par performance with the bat against Oman, Namibia were expected to deliver the goods against the Scotts, but it seems the team hasn't learned from their mistakes.

After electing to bat first, Namibian opener, Jean-Pierre Kotze couldn't time his attempted pull shot and got dismissed for a three-ball duck. The wicket occurred in the very first over, when Brad Wheal bowled a half-hearted short-pitched ball and Kotze miscued his pull shot.

The fielder at short mid-wicket was placed to perfection as he grabbed a simple catch, which sent shockwaves in the Namibian camp.

Dream start for Scotts!

The delivery was nothing extraordinary, but the batters' execution failed as the batting side lost a key player in the first over.

Talking about the two teams, Namibia won their last match against Oman in the Super Over, courtesy of match-winning efforts from David Wiese.

On the other hand, Scotland performed exceedingly well against the defending champions, England, but rain spoiled the fun as the match got abandoned and both the sides were given a point each. Scotland will be eager to get the two crucial points in this contest.
