Namibian skipper Gerhard Erasmus showcased his incredible all-round attributes in his side's second group-stage game against Scotland in the T20 World Cup 2024.

After helping Namibia breach the 150-run mark with a brisk 31-ball 52, Erasmus got the prized breakthrough of Brandon McMullen in a crucial juncture of the match.

The incident occurred during the tenth over of Scotland's innings when they were yet to recover from the early dismissals of George Munsey and Michael Jones.

Skipper Erasmus' decision to bring himself into the attack paid rich dividends for Namibia as he got rid of McMullen, who is known for his scintillating stroke play.

Bowling the third ball of his second over, Erasmus delivered a length ball outside the off stump as McMullen went for a big shot. However, while doing so, he went out of his crease, missing the line of the ball completely.

As a result, Namibian keeper Zane Green collected the ball, albeit after slight fumble, and dislodged the bails in a lightning speed to put an end to the batter's stay. Before being dismissed, McMullen struck 19 runs off 17 deliveries.

Chasing 156, Scotland were in a spot of bother, placed at 116 for four in 16 overs as of writing.
