The hero of the last match for Namibia, David Wiese failed to deliver against Scotland in the ongoing match of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Wiese, who bailed Namibia out of a precarious situation in the last encounter Vs Oman, couldn't capitalise on the momentum and surrendered against some quality Scottish bowling. 

The team had a horrendous start, losing the opening wicket in the first over, and then lost a couple of more wickets. However, a brief partnership between Gerhard Erasmus and Zane Green gave a ray of hope to the Namibian side. But once Erasmus departed, all the responsibility was on the shoulders of Wiese, who failed with the bat.

Wiese fails to deliver!

Brad Wheal, bowled a slower length delivery as Wiese went full throttle and went for the big shot. He got an outside-edge which was safely taken by the fielder at deep third as Namibia lost their biggest hope for revival.

Once Wiese went back, Green followed him soon as Scotland took full control of the match. The match is of utmost importance for the Scotts, who witnessed their last game getting abandoned due to rain Vs England. For Namibia, another win will ease their path towards the Super 8 stage.
