Talented batter Towhid Hridoy had a forgettable outing in Bangladesh-A's first One-Day against Pakistan Shaheens on Monday. Coming at number four, Hridoy managed only 13 runs before Mehran Mumtaz dismissed him with a beauty. 

The incident occurred when Bangladesh-A were trying to rebuild the innings following the cheap dismissals of Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar off Abbas Afridi's bowling. Hridoy had joined Saif Hassan to steady the ship after the early jitters. 

However, Pakistan Shaheens skipper Mohammad Haris' decision to bring Mumtaz into the attack paid rich dividends, with the ace spinner outfoxing Hridoy with a beautiful delivery. 

From over the wicket, Mumtaz tossed it up, as the ball turned slightly away from Hridoy after pitching around the off stump. 

As the batter attempted for an aggressive shot against the turn, he top-edged it, with a simple catch being taken by Muhammad Irfan Khan at the first slip. 

Pakistan Shaheens crush Bangladesh A in 1st One-Day

Riding on sensational performances from Abbas Afridi, Usman Khan and Haseebullah, Pakistan Shaheens defeated Bangladesh A by eight wickets in the first One-Day match. 

Afridi scalped a fifer to reduced Bangladesh to a paltry 183-run total before sublime fifties from Usman and Haseebullah led the Shaheens to a commendable win.
