Rajasthan Royals' middle-order batter Dhruv Jurel luckily survived a clean bowled dismissal in Gorakhpur Lions' ongoing UP T20 game against Noida Super Kings at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Jurel, who captains Gorakhpur in the tournament, even converted the free hit ball into a six.

The incident occurred during the sixth over of Gorakhpur's innings when Dhruv Jurel was trying to form a consolidating stand alongside Aryan Juyal for the second wicket.

After bowling a dot ball, Noida's premier left-arm pacer Naman Tiwari cleaned up Jure, as the batter was comprehensively beaten while playing a ramp shot.

But, unfortunately for the Super Kings, Naman had overstepped, with the on-field umpire calling it a no ball.

The left-arm pacer followed it up with a full-length ball on the stumps, as Jurel capitalised on the free hit to smash him for a glorious six.

Overall, Jurel had a great game, as he hammered 70 runs off just 46 balls, with the help of three fours and five sixes.

On the other hand, Aryan Juyal compiled a scintillating ton, powering the Lions to a mammoth 218-run total.

Gorakhpur claim driving seat vs Noida Super Kings

After Jurel and Juyal's fireworks, Ankit Rajpoot's phenomenal opening spell reduced Noida to 47/4 in no time. As of writing, they were 48 for the loss of four wickets, needing 171 runs in 76 deliveries to win.
