Tom Taylor, England’s 29-year-old right arm quick, has been in extraordinary form in the ongoing T20 Blast for Worcestershire. 

And he rose to the occasion when it mattered the most, in the famous Bears versus Pears derby in the competition on Friday when they met Warwickshire in Birmingham.

After Worcestershire posted 187/6 on the board batting first, Taylor gave his side a perfect start after taking the new ball. He pitched a length ball outside the off stump, which swung sharply against Warwickshire skipper Alex Davies.

Davies had no clue whatsoever about the huge swing of the ball, before it went through the gate to clean up the stumps.

Eventually, riding on Taylor's 3/31, Worcestershire bundled out Warwickshire for 132 runs in 15.2 overs. In the process, they registered a comfortable 55-run victory against their fierce rivals.

Warwickshire kept their positions at the top of the points table despite the defeat. They now have eight wins in 11 games. Worcestershire, on the other hand, remained eighth on the chart, having lost eight out of 12 matches.
