In a situation when India have no plan to travel to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025, former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram broke the silence, asking the BCCI and Team India to keep the politics aside and make the tournament a successful one.

Notably, Pakistan last hosted an ICC event way back in 1996. Hence, it would be a historic occasion for the Men in Green. However, if India do not want to travel there, the ICC must announce co-hosts for the tournament.

In a video posted by IANS, Akram highlighted the PCB's preparations for the Champions Trophy 2025. The legendary fast bowler mentioned that the board has already invested heavily in Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore's stadium's improvements, and everyone should participate to make it a successful tournament.

However, the BCCI is unmoved by the decision, as they do not want to take any risk due to their political relationships. Nevertheless, it is still unsure what the players want at this point, although it all depends on the BCCI secretary Jay Shah's final move.
