In a significant development, Pakistan's promising fast bowler Naseem Shah has been denied the No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the PCB for the upcoming Hundred competition.

Notably, Shah had signed a contract worth £125,000 with Birmingham Phoenix and was all set to feature in the tournament starting on 24th July.

However, with the apex body denying him of the NOC, the speedster might not participate in the showpiece event.

PCB denies NOC to Naseem for workload management

As reported by Pakistan Observer, the PCB wants to manage Naseem's workload properly, considering the men's team's upcoming packed schedule, including a hectic home season.

Being capable of bowling hostile spells, Naseem is Pakistan's one of most lethal bowling weapons across formats.

Furthermore, with Shaheen Afridi set to face disciplinary actions following an alleged misconduct, Naseem is expected to lead Pakistan's bowling attack in their upcoming tours.

Therefore, the board doesn't want to rush him, so that he can operate at full throttle for the national team.
