[Watch] Travis Head Bizarrely Falls For 12 As Bilal Khan Draws First Blood For Oman

Swashbuckling Australian opener Travis Head had a torrid start to his T20 World Cup 2024 campaign as he got out cheaply for 12 runs in the ongoing group-stage clash against Oman. Opening the batting, Head struck two glorious boundaries before Bilal Khan dismissed him.

The incident occurred during the third over of Australia's innings after Oman opted to bowl first. Head, who had a stellar IPL 2024 run, cleared his intentions from the word go, hitting two gorgeous fours to get going. However, Bilal Khan drew the first ball for Oman, getting rid of the dangerous batter.

After conceding a boundary on his third delivery, Bilal bowled an out-swinger that  moved away from the left-hander after pitching around the good length. However, he hit it straight to the mid off, where Khalid Kail took a sharp catch to end his brief stay.

As Head departed, skipper Mitchell Marsh joined Warner in the middle to steady the ship. Despite losing his partner Head at the other end, David Warner seems determined to play an impactful knock for Australia.

However, Oman have given Australia a run for their money with an incredibly disciplined effort. As of writing, the Aussies haven't got a brisk start in the powerplay, placed at 37 for one in six overs.
