Veteran all-rounder Marcus Stoinis emerged as the hero with the bat for Australia in their ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 game against Oman. After the Aussies lost three quick wickets, Stoinis brought a sigh of relief to their camp with his scintillating knock. 

The destructive batter took a particular liking for Oman's most-successful bowler Mehran Khan, smashing him for four sixes in a single over. 

The incident occurred during the fifteenth over of Australia's innings when they were in a spot of bother after being put into bat first. After conceding a double on his first ball, Mehran bowled a full-length ball as Stoinis smoked him for a massive six over long off. 

He followed it up with another six down the ground before concluding the over with two consecutive flat maximums over long off and long on. His tremendous ball-striking provided the impetus that Australia needed following the cheap dismissals of Head, Maxwell and Mitch Marsh. 

After the Aussies lost the three crucial wickets, Stoinis and Warner formed a magnificent stand to bail them out of trouble. Both batters completed half-centuries in this process. 

As of writing, Australia were 152 for four in 18.5 overs, with Stoinis and Tim David unbeaten in the middle.
