According to a report filed by PTI, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal – all four who can bat at the top of the order – will be picked in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to take place in the West Indies and America after IPL 2024.
Notably, the media outlet picked a 20-member squad who can be picked due to recent IPL form, while for the mega event, a side can only select a maximum of 15 members with three reserve members.
Along with senior pros, Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah, who have been performing admirably for India in the shortest format, will surely get their deserved places.
In other interesting scenario, Yuzvendra Chahal is likely to be back in Men in Blue colours. Chahal, easily India's best leg-spinner in the shortest format, is yet to play a match at the ICC events, and considering his current form, he is a no-brainer for India to pair with Kuldeep Yadav on dry tracks in the West Indies and the USA.
Unsurprisingly, no interesting newbie are in the race to be in line under their sublime form in IPL 2024 except Rishabh Pant, who is likely to contend Sanju Samson and KL Rahul for a place behind the stumps.
