The toss of the fifth match of the UP T20 League has been delayed due to rain and the groundsmen at the Ekana Cricket Stadium have covered the entire 30-yard circle. The game is between Kanpur Superstars led by Sameer Rizvi and Rinku Singh's Meerut Mavericks and it is the second game of the season for both the sides.

It is the second game of the day and the first one was also affected by rain with Kashi Rudras winning the game by 22 runs courtesy DLS method. As far as the encounter between Kanpur Superstars and Meerut Mavericks is concerned, both teams would be itching to get on the field, having won their respective opening games by a huge margin.

According to weather.com, rain is expected to stop at Lucknow, but the conditions will remain cloudy, which means that rain could stop the proceedings again, even if the match gets started.

Rinku Singh and Sameer Rizvi both are powerful hitters of the cricket ball, and though Rinku did not get much time to bat in his first game, Rizvi showed his full repertoire and smashed 89 off just 51 balls in a lone-warrior heroic effort against Lucknow Falcons. Both would be looking to stamp their authority in this game, and let's hope that rain fades away soon, and we get some quality action.
