Dhruv Jurel's six in UP T20 League 2024
Dhruv Jurel, the right-handed wicketkeeper batter has seen a rapid rise in his stocks over the course of the last year or so. He first impressed one and all in IPL 2023 while playing for Rajasthan Royals and then delivered impressive performances in his debut Test series for India.
He is now leading Gorakhpur Lions in the second edition of UP T20 league and has started the tournament with a bang. He scored a fifty in the first game, and has now followed it up with another fantastic knock of 66 off 34 balls against Kashi Rudras.
The right-handed batter smashed six fours and five sixes in his knock and the first one of those maximum was a classy straight six against Atal Bihari Vipin Rai. It was just the second over of the match and on the third delivery, Dhruv Jurel played a brilliant extra-cover drive.
On the fifth delivery, Jurel played an even brilliant shot as he lifted a full delivery on off with a straight bat to tonk it down the ground for a maximum.
Dhruv Jurel Likely To Be Selected For Bangladesh Test Series
Aryan Juyal who scored a century in Gorakhpur's first game, also scored a fifty and the duo once again powered Gorakhpur Lions to a good total of 173. Jurel is all set to feature in Duleep Trophy and is is likely to be selected as a wicketkeeper for the Bangladesh series alongside Rishabh Pant.
