Cricket Nepal have expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for setting up a training camp at Bangalore’s National Cricket Academy (NCA). The Nepal cricket team recently trained at the NCA for the upcoming ICC CWC League 2 series. Remarkably, Nepal players also interacted with Indian cricketing stars Rahul Dravid and Mohammed Shami at the academy.

On August 27, Cricket Nepal took to their social media accounts and expressed their gratitude towards BCCI. The cricket board also separately mentioned BCCI secretary Jay Shah and India’s external affairs minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.

The Nepal cricket players had set base in Bangalore in August to train for the upcoming ICC CWC League 2 cycle matches. The players also interacted with former Indian head coach Rahul Dravid as well as with legendary fast bowler Mohammed Shami.

The Nepal cricket team, under the leadership of Rohit Paudel, recently took part in the 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies. Placed in Group D alongside South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and hosts West Indies; Nepal lost each of their four league stage matches to finish the tournament at the bottom of the points table.

The Nepal team will now compete in the ICC CWC League 2 stage fixtures in a bid to qualify for the 2027 ICC ODI World Cup.
