Sri Lanka's Shehan Jayasuriya showcased his fielding brilliance as he grabbed a sensational catch in Seattle Orcas' MLC 2024 clash against San Francisco Unicorns today.
Although Seattle lost the match convincingly, Jayasuriya's exceptional effort earned him massive applause from all corners of the world.

The incident occurred during the 13th over of the Unicorns' innings when they were cruising towards a well-deserved victory, courtesy of Finn Allen's fireworks.
Seattle skipper Heinrich Klaasen's decision to hand the ball to Harmeet Singh worked wonders as the left-arm spinner got the prized breakthrough of Sanjay Krishnamurthi on the very first delivery.
From around the wicket, Harmeet bowled a full length delivery, inviting Krishnamurthi for a drive.
The ball turned slightly away from the batter, who played an uppish drive in the off side. However, Jayasuriya, who recently struck a glorious fifty, exhibited commendable athleticism to grab a one-handed stunner.
But, unfortunately, Jayasuriya's valiant effort went in vain, as San Francisco Unicorns eventually chased the total in 14.2 overs.
Barring Finn Allen's 30-ball 77, Josh Inglis contributed 24 runs, while Matthew Short and Sherfane Rutherford scored 19 and 17, respectively.
Seattle Orcas have had a forgettable journey in MLC 2024. They will take on Faf du Plessis' Texas Super Kings in their final group-stage encounter on July 24.
