On the second day of the second Test between Bangladesh and West Indies, the West Indies are behind by a solid 94 runs since Bangladesh managed to get bowled out for 164 in 71.5 overs. Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seales played key roles in causing Bangladesh's batting downfall.

Apart from taking three wickets, Joseph really made his mark with an unplayable delivery that sent Shahadat Hossain Dipu back to the pavilion. The batter was left in shock and was dismissed for just 22 runs.

In the fourth ball of the 39th over, Joseph bowled a pacy length delivery that angled in and straightened after pitching, catching Shahadat Hossain off guard.

The Bangladesh batter was beaten on the outside edge and the ball crashed into the top of off-stump to toss the bails. Dipu returned back to the shed early on day 2 of the test having scored just above 20 runs even after playing a longstanding 89 deliveries.

West Indies Dominates Bangladesh On Day 2

West Indies have taken a significant lead on the second day of the Test match. Bangladesh, resuming on 69/2, lost wickets in clusters, with Shadman Islam's 64 being the lone bright spot. A disciplined bowling performance from West Indies, particularly Jayden Seales (4/5) and Shamar Joseph (3/49), bundled out Bangladesh for 164.

In reply, West Indies openers Kraigg Brathwaite and Mikyle Louis started cautiously but were soon scoring runs. However, Louis was dismissed by Nahid Rana. Brathwaite and Keacy Carty, though, ensured West Indies finished the day strongly, reaching 70/1, in 37 overs, ensuring a lead of 95 runs as bad light forced an early end to play.
