Ahead of the game, here is a look at the important player stats, the top captain and vice-captain choices, and the players you can ignore for the fantasy contests of this game.

GUJ-W vs UP-W: Toss Factor

There are two strips in the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. One generally acts slow with the passage of time and favours both the pacers and spinners. The other turf suits the batters and generally leads to high-scoring matches. Dew does not play a factor here and hence the team winning the toss tends to bat first.

Scenario: If Gujarat Giants win the toss

  •  Beth Mooney prefers to bat first on this venue and she shall try to do so.
  • Try to accommodate overseas players like Beth Mooney, Laura Wolvaardt and Ashleigh Gardner.
  • Tanuja Kanwer has been consistent with the ball while Dayalan Hemalatha showed her capability in the last game.

Scenario: If UP Warriorz win the toss

  •  The Warriorz would like to bat first at the venue.
  • Grace Harris, Alyssa Healy and Sophie Eccelstone are match-winners on their day and should be backed.
  • Deepti Sharma and Saima Thakor are some of the Indian mandatory picks.

If Gujarat Giants win the match

Beth Mooney (GUJ-W): The southpaw tried her best to drag the side to a commendable total in their last couple of games in Delhi. Mooney has racked up 211 runs from six matches with fifties in her last two matches. In addition, she has been striking the ball at the rate of 145.52.

Tanuja Kanwer (GUJ-W): The uncapped spinner has played her role to perfection during the WPL 2024. She has been stellar with the ball and often controlled the runs despite her teammates getting whacked by the opposition. Kanwer has snaffled eight wickets from six matches with a wicket in each of the matches she played.

If UP Warriorz win the match

Grace Harris (UP-W): The Aussie all-rounder has produced some exceptional performances with the willow and the white rock. Harris is the second-highest run-scorer for her team with 187 runs from seven innings. She has a strike rate of 142.75 in the ongoing mega-event.

Deepti Sharma (UP-W): The Indian all-rounder had a heroic performance in their latest game where she smashed a half-century and bagged a four-for with spotlight on tournament's second hat-trick. Deepti is the fifth-highest leading run-getter in the competition with 207 runs from seven innings; she has an outstanding average of 69.

GUJ-W vs UP-W: High Risk, High Reward Picks

Alyssa Healy (UP-W): The skipper of the side is a pure match-winner on her day. However, she has failed to be consistent with the willow and often threw away her wicket when the team needed her the most.

Ashleigh Gardner (UP-W): The Aussie three-dimensional cricketer has been fantastic in her rich career. But she has failed to transpire the same in WPL 2024, and blew hot and cold with both the bat and the ball.

GUJ-W vs UP-W: Stay Aways

Sneh Rana (GUJ-W): The capped all-rounder has had a tough season with the ball in hand. She also failed to step up with the willow. Irrespective of her potential, it is better not to include Rana for the upcoming clash.

Poonam Khemnar (UP-W): The 29-year-old played one quickfire knock in the season and that too in losing cause. She does not get enough bowling opportunity and hence one can avoid her selection in fantasy teams.
