Shaheen Afridi is leading Lions in Pakistan's brand new 50-over competition, Champions Cup and so far his team has lost all the two matches they have played. Shaheen has done decently with the ball and with the bat too he scored 22 in the first match. However, in his second game against Panthers, he fell for a eight-ball duck and during the course of that brief knock, he was even sledged by Shadab Khan.

The sledging from Panthers skipper Shadab Khan came in the 29th over of Lions' innings. Lions were 156-6 in all sorts of trouble in the 29th over in their bid to chase down the target of 284 and needed their skipper Shaheen Afridi to play a special knock. However, Shaheen looked all at sea against the craft of Shadab Khan and got beaten by a beautiful googly from the leg-spinner.

Shadab Khan was all pumped up after the delivery and spitted out some words in anger to Shaheen Afridi. The Lions skipper in return looked bamboozled both by the delivery and from the actions from Shadab Khan, and it was quite an intense moment between the two stars.

Shaheen Afridi was eventually cleaned up by Usama Mir in the next over and Lions were bowled out for just 199. Panthers eventually won the game by 84 runs and Shaheen Afridi would be itching to make a strong comeback in the upcoming games. 

Shaheen Afridi's Captaincy Under Scanner

Also, after the loss of two matches under his leadership, Shaheen Afridi's performances and leadership have again come under the scanner. Earlier too, many former Pakistan cricketers questioned Shaheen Afridi's appointment as a captain in Champions One-Day Cup after his ouster as Pakistan skipper after just one series, and it would be interesting to see how Shaheen Afridi goes about his business in the rest of the tournament.
