India is all set to take on Bangladesh in the two-match Test series with the first game scheduled to start on the 19th of September at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Indian squad is a good blend of youth and experience, and along with experienced players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Sarfaraz Khan is also included.

This will also be the first series where Sarfaraz Khan will share the Indian dressing room with Virat Kohli as the legendary batter was not part of the Test series against England where Sarfaraz made his debut.

Now, ahead of the first Test, Sarfaraz Khan has opened up on JioCinema about Virat Kohli's mindset and what he has learnt from the legendary batter. Sarfaraz mentioned that Virat Kohli is very clear about his game and he knows exactly what he needs to do to be at the top of his game. Sarfaraz added that Kohli keeps his schedule for the day according to the needs of the game, and has all his plans chalked out from morning to evening.

Sarfaraz stated that he learnt this discipline from Virat Kohli and goes onto admire the awareness Kohli has about various aspects of his game.

"Virat Kohli is clear about his game. He knows the work a player needs to keep doing. 'This is my work, I have to do this in the morning to evening, and sleep at a specific time.' That’s what I have learned". 

Sarfaraz Khan's RCB Connection With Virat Kohli

Sarfaraz Khan first grabbed the limelight when he played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2015. He delivered plenty of impactful performances in that season and his bond with Virat Kohli was the talk of the town at that point in time. He was also retained by RCB ahead of IPL 2018, but failed miserably in that season and eventually was released by the franchise.

However, the bond between 17-year-old Sarfaraz Khan and Virat Kohli is still fresh in the minds of Indian cricket fans. So, with the duo now set to play together again, we might see the same connection between the two again during the Test series for the senior Indian side.
