Phil Salt has been in brilliant form in recent times and has made the habit of taking his teams off to a flier. He did that for KKR in IPL 2024 and now in the second T20I between England and Australia, he hammered Aussies with 39 off just 23 balls. He hit three sixes in his knock, and all those came in a single over on consecutive delivers against Aaron Hardie.

It was the third over of England's innings and they were chasing a big target of 194. So, they needed their skipper Phil Salt to get going, and he decided to attack Hardie. The first six came off a length delivery as the right-handed batter walked a bit down the track and launched it over deep mid-wicket. Hardie pulled his length back for the next delivery, but it came to Salt at a good height and he just pulled it over deep square leg for another six.

The young Aussie all-rounder then went fuller and Salt was ready. He blasted it deep into the stands over long on to put Australia under pressure in the Powerplay. Salt, however, could not carry on his great start and departed in the ninth over of the run-chase and Australia were right back in the game.

Livingstone-Bethell Power England To A Series Levelling-Win

The young Jacob Bethell then joined Liam Livingstone in the middle and the duo smacked Australia all over the park as Travis Head, the stand-in-skipper looked short of ideas. Bethell departed on 44 in the 17th over and in the same over Sam Curran also was outfoxed by Matthew Short. However, Livingstone carried on and took England on the brink of a win. He fell when the scores were levelled, but he did his job with 87 off just 47 balls and England levelled the series in style.
