Imam-ul-Haq batted magnificently well on Monday while playing for the Lions in Match 5 of Pakistan's Champions One Day Cup 2024 against the Panthers, taking place at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. However, once he lost his wicket to Shadab Khan after an impressive 62-ball 60, which had five fours and two sixes, he could not control himself while returning to the dressing room.
Imam-ul-Haq Gets Frustrated In The Dressing Room
Imam, one of Pakistan's regular openers in ODIs and Tests not too long ago, vented out anger on his helmet and bat. He threw both of them before sitting on a chair with utter frustration.
The incident happened after the first ball of the 23rd over of the Lions' innings. Shadab, the Panthers skipper, introduced himself into the attack, and struck straightaway. Imam nicked him behind Usman Khan, and Shadab immediately celebrated wildly.
Lions Vs Panthers: What Happened So Far?
At the time of writing this, the Lions are batting on 171/8 in 32 overs. The Panthers, earlier in the day, were bundled out for 283 in 46.5 overs, with Mubasir Khan and Haider Ali scoring the bulk of runs, having made 90* and 84* respecitvley. Shadab, too, chipped in with handy contributions, making 37 off 29 balls, laced with five fours.
Needless to say, the Lions have a mountain to climb if they want to get the job done. They lost their first match of the competition as well, that too against Babar Azam-starred Stallions. Hence, another defeat would keep them at the bottom of the six-team points table.
