Shafali Verma's double century in the ongoing One-off Test match between India Women and South Africa Women at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, was a historic achievement. She became the second women's cricketer to reach this milestone after Mithali Raj.

Unfortunately, her innings ended in a run-out due to a mix-up with Jemimah Rodrigues. After driving a length ball to mid-on, Rodrigues called for a quick single. Shafali hesitated but eventually decided to go for it, only to be caught short of her crease.

A direct throw to the keeper led to the bails being whipped off quickly. The TV umpire confirmed the run-out, which showcased Shafali well short of the crease.

Despite the disappointing end, Shafali walked back to a round of applause from teammates, with even the Proteas players showcased their appreciation for her remarkable knock.
