Shafali Verma unfortunate run-out (x)
Shafali Verma's double century in the ongoing One-off Test match between India Women and South Africa Women at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, was a historic achievement. She became the second women's cricketer to reach this milestone after Mithali Raj.
Unfortunately, her innings ended in a run-out due to a mix-up with Jemimah Rodrigues. After driving a length ball to mid-on, Rodrigues called for a quick single. Shafali hesitated but eventually decided to go for it, only to be caught short of her crease.
A direct throw to the keeper led to the bails being whipped off quickly. The TV umpire confirmed the run-out, which showcased Shafali well short of the crease.
Despite the disappointing end, Shafali walked back to a round of applause from teammates, with even the Proteas players showcased their appreciation for her remarkable knock.

Shafali’s innings ended with an unlucky run-out a solid and well-constructed knock of 205 off 197 balls. The highlight of her innings was that she smashed 23 fours and eight massive sixes.
