[Watch] Shadab 'Pumped Up' As Guptill's Stunning Catch Helps Him Dismiss Rizwan In PSL Final

Shadab dismissed Rizwan in PSL final [X.com]

Riding on Martin Guptill's excellent catch in the outfield, Islamabad United skipper Shadab Khan dismissed his Multan Sultans counterpart Mohammad Rizwan in the ongoing PSL 2024 final. 

The incident occurred in the tenth over when the skipper brought himself into the attack to break the consolidating stand between Rizwan and Usman Khan. His move paid rich dividends, as he got the prized scalp of Rizwan in the penultimate delivery of his over. 

After conceding six runs in his first four balls, Shadab lured Rizwan for a lofted shot through a flighted delivery outside the off stump. The batter, who earlier got a lifeline courtesy of Naseem's no ball, fell in the trap as he attempted for his signature slog sweep in the leg side. 

However, he couldn't connect it properly, with the ball gobbling up in the air for a long time. Martin Guptill, known for his incredible fielding attributes, covered a considerable distance to complete a sensational catch. 

Shadab was pumped up after getting rid of Rizwan, who was looking set in the middle. One brought two for the United, with Imad Wasim dismissing the dangerous Johnson Charles soon after Rizwan's departure. 

As of writing, the Sultans are in a spot of bother, reeling at 99 for four in 13.3 overs, with Usman Khan and Khushdil Shah batting on 49* and 2*, respectively.
