Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper displayed his full class against Pakistan in the Super Fours Encounter as he hit his 50th half-century with his usual finesse. He took some time to get going but once he found his groove, he played some delightful shots. In the 13th over, he took Shadad Khan apart and smashed him for 6,4,6 on consecutive delivers and took Pakistan under pump. However, Shadab Khan avenged that in the 17th over, by sending Rohit Sharma back to the hut and drawing first blood for Pakistan.

Rohit Sharma scored 56 but on the 49th delivery, he tried to play a lofted drive that led to his downfall. Talking about the ball, it was a tossed up delivery on off. Rohit Sharma played a nice lofted drive and timed it well as well but hit it bit straighter than he tried to. The ball did well left of long off but Faheem Ashraf running to his left, covered great ground and dived to his left as well to pull off a stunning catch.

The wicket brought some respite for Pakistan and in the very next over, Shaheen Afridi got rid of well-set Gill as well and from 121-0, India were reduced to 123-2. At the time of writing, India are 135-2 at the end of 20 overs with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul trying to build a partnership.
