Samit Dravid, the son of Rahul Dravid is grabbing lot of eyeballs in Maharaja Trophy 2024 with his swashbuckling strokeplay. He has not got big scores, but has played some sparkling knocks and in the 10th game of the season, he once again smashed a six and a four before eventually throwing his wicket away.

However, the six he hit spoke a lot about the talent of the youngster. It was a beautiful pick-up shot on the first delivery of the 12th over. Nischith Rao was the bowler and he delivered a short delivery, angling into leg. Dravid picked up the length quickly and pulled it all the way over deep backward square leg for a maximum, that went into the second tier of the stands at M. Chinnaswamy.

He could not convert his start though and two balls later, Rao got his revenge. Karun Nair though continued on his onslaught and and scored a century to take Mysore Warriors to a massive total. Nair scored his century in just 43 balls and has clearly made a statement ahead of IPL Auction for the 2025 season.
