[Watch] Ruturaj Gaikwad’s Brisk Stay Ended By Josh Hazlewood’s Jaffa

India’s second ODI against Australia did not get off to an ideal start on Sunday at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Unlike last time in Mohali, where Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad forged a steady partnership to set the platform for others, the Men in Blue lost one of their openers early in Indore. And Ruturaj Gaikwad was the man who had to return to the pavilion early.

One of the world's most accurate fast bowlers, Josh Hazlewood, replaced Pat Cummins to play the second ODI against India. The tall fast bowler had an immediate impact, bowling a good-length delivery in the area of doubt to get Gaikwad to edge.

The opener kept the bat near his body for defence but failed before Alex Carey took an excellent catch to end his stay.

Gaikwad began brilliantly, slamming two glorious boundaries in the opening over of the day, bowled by debutant Spencer Johnson, but did not manage to carry the momentum going.

At the time of writing, India are batting on 46/1 in 6.5 overs, with Shreyas Iyer going strong on 27* off 15 balls. Shubman Gill, on the other hand, is batting on 6* off 14 balls.
