Pakistani cricketers were at the centre of criticism and mockery after they suffered an embarrassing defeat against Bangladesh at home in the recently concluded Rawalpindi Test.

The Tigers registered their first-ever Test win over Pakistan, and too in style with a 10-wicket win. Cricket pundits across the world heavily criticised the Shan Masood-led side, and the latest to join the bandwagon is former all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez.

Hafeez, who often criticises PCB and their actions, took a dig at PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi after the humiliating defeat.

Hafeez slammed Naqvi over his 'Major Surgery Required' remark after Pakistan's early exit from T20 World Cup 2024.

He posted on X, "Surgery is on till death...."

Hafeez Congratulates Bangladesh Over Historic Win

"Bangladesh Cricket Team has played wonderfully, and have held their ground throughout the match. It is a historic win for they have won against Pakistan for the first time. Heartiest Congratulations to them!" Hafeez posted.

Hafeez' Short Tenure With PCB

It is worth noting that Hafeez was hired as Pakistan's director of cricket late in 2023, particularly for the Australia and New Zealand away series. However, things went ugly after he was ousted from his role despite being promised a big contract.
