Troubles are not ending for Pakistan cricket, as they have dropped more WTC points over slow over-rate during the first Test against Bangladesh.
The ICC stated on Monday, August 26, where they confirmed that Pakistan were found guilty of being six overs short, as a result, they docked six points in the WTC standings.
Not just that, but the Shan Masood-led side were also slapped with a heavy penalty as they were fined 30% of their match fee.
Bangladesh Also Slapped With Heavy Fine
Not just Pakistan, but Bangladesh too have been heavily affected by slow-over-rate in the recently concluded game as they were three overs behind and got docked three points. As a result, the ICC slapped them with a 15% fine of their match fees.
The ICC report mentioned that both players accepted their offence and were guilty of not completing the overs in time.
As a result of the sanction, Bangladesh have now slipped to seventh position below South Africa.
On the other hand, Pakistan are still on eighth position in the WTC standing and dealt a major blow to their WTC final dreams after an embarrassing 10-wickets defeat against Bangladesh at home.
